Daily Fun in the Village

Ice Skating
In the heart of Beaver Creek Village lies the Black Family Ice Rink.  Open daily throughout the winter with skate rentals available For more information, call the Ice Rink at (970) 845-0438.      

Thursday Night Lights presented by Volvo, the Official Vehicle of Vail Resorts 
Hosted weekly throughout the winter, Thursday Night Lights is a glow stick ski-down to music with a fireworks display afterwards. Guests who are level 5 skiers (intermediate) or above can participate, simply register at 5:30pm on Thursdays at the Beaver Creek Children's Ski School.  For more information, please call (970) 845-9090.

Plaza Entertainment
Head to the plaza at the end of the day to see Helmut and his Alpenhorn, Kiyan the Magician, and Ken the Caricaturist to name just a few.


On Mountain Activities

Ski Racing
Race World (Under the Centennial Express Chair Lift) offers Nastar racing daily from 11:00am until 3:30pm.  The course is a giant slalom format - the national handicap system is applied and each racer receives a medal.  Coaching Clinics and Private Races are available. Pay to Race is also available daily from 10:00am until 3:30pm.  Just $2.00 to race - choose from a slalom or giant slalom format.  All runs are timed.

Nordic Sports at McCoy Park
McCoy Park, located atop the Strawberry Park Express (Chair #12) is a dedicated snowshoe and cross-country ski area with 32km of tracked and rustic trails.  Contact the Beaver Creek Nordic Center at  (970) 845-5313 for information on gear, rentals, guided tours and lessons.

Other ways to enjoy the mountains

Sleigh Rides
Enjoy a Sleigh ride up Beaver Creek mountain pulled by snowcat, followed by an elegant dinner at Beano's Cabin, a AAA Four Diamond award winning restaurant.  Open nightly throughout the winter; reservations are required, call (970) 949-9090

Or, dine at Zach's Cabin, with spectacular views of Bachelor Gulch. Guests assemble in the great room of the Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch before being carried up the mountain on a snowcat-drawn sleigh.  Open Thursday-Saturday nights in the winter; Reservations are required, call (970) 845-6575.

Dogsledding
A unique alpine adventure, available mornings and afternoons in the Cordillera area west of Beaver Creek.  The tour lasts approximately two hours, covering about seven miles, transportation to and from Beaver Creek is included. For more information, call (970) 653-7877.
