NEW COLORADO ADVENTURE HIKES

The new Colorado Adventure Package offers guests a unique opportunity to summit two Colorado “Fourteeners” (14,000 foot peaks – the highest in Colorado), back-to-back, with support from the Beaver Creek Hiking Center. This program will feature trained and seasoned guides, as well as use of Hiking Center gear including Salomon hiking boots, Leki trekking poles and Mountain Smith packs, as well as plenty of energy-boosting snacks and beverages. Beaver Creek Hiking Center guides are well-versed in the flora and fauna, and the history of the Colorado backcountry, as well as helpful techniques to maximize energy and minimize muscle fatigue during high-altitude hiking.

The Beaver Creek Hiking Center’s new Historic Excursion “drive and hike” adventures offer a peek at some of Colorado’s most picturesque historic mining and ghost towns including Minturn, Holy Cross City, Leadville, Red Cliff, and Hagerman Pass. Historic Excursion group tours are offered once a week and are low-intensity, providing the perfect day trip for outdoor and history enthusiasts of all ages and levels.  The Beaver Creek Hiking Center offers a full menu of outdoor options ranging from “Fourteener” hikes to guided mountain bike tours to supported European treks.  Call the Hiking Center at (970) 754-5373 or email bcinfo@vailresorts.com
